The general rule is OLOA gets the door and front fender and everything else is open. I reality, Brock is pretty willing to work with people especially if that have significant sponsors. The front fender is pretty set in stone as that's the tire brand location and part of companies working with Tire Rack. That and the OLOA placard and number in the door and the real requirements. We've always got all sorts of other stuff stuck on the car.

Thanks for the quick answer! Was just curious. I'm hoping to be able to do OLOA in a few years, not to win, just for the experience of it.

I'll see if I can dig up any photos from the last couple years to show "decked in decals" cars, and then highlight where the "required OneLap sponsor" decals are. Mike Hickman's "OneLap Camaro" is a pretty good example, since he has stickers from 25+ years of doing OneLap.
edit:
Here's a couple "Top 10" and "Class Winner" pics from last year, via the 2018 OneLap History page and thanks to Highland Design (the event photographers)
I'd say all these cars are probably 50% OneLap 'event' decals vs. personal sponsor decals. Mainly tire manufacturer over the front wheel well, TireRack windshield banner, door card and number plate, along with other sponsors (like GRM!).
Last thing little bit of car prep was a bit unexpected. I've always planned to grabbing a K-tuned shifter since I learned about them. They're just so pretty. A bit over a week ago the one popped up on social media that spacedet is watching. In it's previous life it rode around in this guys car. https://youtu.be/eZz4diyUMCc?t=937
I put it in today. It shifts very well. And it's pretty.
Sometime in the future I'll take care of the ugly transition from former console spot to bare carpet. Not going to cover this up.
Alright, well, I’m probably 70% packed...
I’ve got all my clothes for the week (minus 3 shirts from mazdeuce, and some other clothes I had shipped to his place) packed into that 40L duffel. I’ll probably have to shuffle things once we hit South Bend, and shift my “nightly” clothes into a ‘packable’ 30L duffel that’s tucked away right now, and use the 40L for my drivers suit, shoes, and a helmet I borrow from mazdeuce or space cadet... that way I can avoid having to check anything on the way out.
Clearly I still need to finish up some IT stuff for my electronics, and get all that stuff tucked away in my shoulder bag. Unfortunately we had a bit of a hiccup the last few days, and I’ll be a little hampered in posting photos until we make it back to the hotel, probably.
sleepykid#1 says that it was just a minor hiccup, and that I’m still cleared to go:
He’s taking the whole thing pretty well, I suppose it helps that the MIL and some other family is coming over to help out while I’m gone. So, he’ll be in good hands while on the initial mend. I wouldn’t be able to do this without her help, and the support of all my family. Thanks y’all!
Other than that, I’ve got a few more spots of cleaning to do, some fitful sleep, and the general anxiety of the short term wait before the this whole adventure begins; and the associated: what the hezmana did I forget!?
T-minus ~15+ hours to go!
Car is packed. I didn't evern have to work to fit anything, just kind of threw it in there. Lots of comfort and convenience with the scooters, chairs and umbrellas.
Need to go count my underwear to see how many double stints I'll need to do.
Bring a coat! Much of the event is as North or farther North as South Bend.
Some quick weather search on my part:
Fri & Sat in South Bend: 60/44 sun
Sun in Nelson Ledges: 70/50 sun
Mon in RAmerica: 55/46 rain
Tues in Brainard: 55/40 cloudy but not rain
Those are some cold morning temps and much of the event is morning. If the is any breeze in the unprotected, open spaces it will feel even colder.

My plan is this: Long underwear, medium down jacket, fire suit (mine is fluffy) with rain coat and rain pants over that. I also have a stocking cap and warm gloves packed. It's all about layers and the fire suit is a great insulating layer as long as you have wind protection over it.
In reply to mazdeuce - Seth :
Last year my contingency plan for cold weather was "wear it all." Just have to layer up with everything on and a shell on the outside. Mechanic gloves double as weather protection.
In reply to John Welsh :
In all honesty, helmets are warm and a closed face blocks the wind, so I've always got that option.
The last thing is done. We're driving a K-motored Honda. That means watching and adding oil. Maybe a lot of oil. Enough that it makes sense to bring the 5 quart jug instead of a handful of singles anyway. The problem is filling. Maybe some of you can pour from the big jug without making a mess, but I don't have the steady hands for that. Bringing a funnel means I have to wipe it out after each use, or does it?
Enter a stack of 100 snow cone cups and a pair of scissors. Two minutes later and I have 20 disposable funnels packed away in the tool box.
We're mere hours away from this thing getting in motion.
Did ya get the EZ Pass?
If yes, is it in the car?
If it came with the clear plastic "velcro" for windshield mounting behind the mirror , yes, it is strong enough to just leave it there while on-track.
Yes and no. I have it. Haven't installed it yet. I'm going to go throw it in the car right now.
Holy cow it’s early. Also, no, I don’t want to change my flight and go through Vienna, even if my first flight is overbooked. Checked-in, and through security. So it begins. No coffee yet, though.
Glad I stumbled on this thread again. Got my reminder set to get up and come say hi at NCM.
"I need to leave early to pick up my husband's co-driver from Poland" is much more convincing than "my husband's friend is flying in to play with cars for a week"
Mrs. Deuce is good with phrasing and now her boss thinks we're going to be off competing instead of flailing at the back of the pack. I'm fine with that.
You guys hitting cmp (kershaw south Carolina) again this year?
absolutely positively bring a coat/gloves/hat this year. Even for the midwest our weather has been stupid (photo from Gingerman this past Sunday)
Remember when I said I wasn't concerned about doing OLOA this year without AC?
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael :
This year we're at Nelson Ledges, Road America, Brainerd, Hastings, Blackhawk Farms and finally NCM.
Should be a fun year. I have.three laps around RA and NCM and everything else is new to me.

Yes. Looks like it's going to warm up a bit, but I'm feeling pretty good about choosing the Conti ECS right about now.
The weather looks like it's going to take a turn for the better starting this weekend. Which just about figures since I head back to school next week.
Hoping I can make it out to south bend this weekend to see you folks off at least!
I'm interested in your thoughts about Nelson Ledges- I have fond memories of it as a fun and super grassroots road course. Nothing extra, nothing unnecessary, just a loop of somehwat choppy pavement with some fun sweepers and a scary kink in the back straight (don't lift!)
In reply to ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ :
When the schedule came out I was most excited for Nelson and Brainerd. Both of those are proper historic club tracks that you can find oooooooold footage of cars drivng. Neat stuff. My plan is to do a good job keeping the thread up this year with the extra transit driver.
Car is packed. Car is washed. Last coat of RainX on the windshield. It's supposed to be gnarly in north Texas this afternoon. Sleepyhead is on a plane somewhere over the ocean and the FedEx guy just brought his last package. I need to make a lasagna and pick up the kids and that's about it.

I am just south of Chicago (very near i-80) with a lift and lots of tools (and I work from home all week next week so I'll be here). PLEASE let me know if you or any other competitors you know need a place to land at any point. I have a spare bedroom as well and a well-stocked wine cabinet if needed.
Also, are we doing a GRM meetup May 4th or 11th in Southbend? I would love to come spectate one of those days and possibly bring my 4 year old son along.
