I get a similar response when I mention the lift kit or wanting to rally cross.
"You know it's only a miata right?"
To which I respond "you know it's been a championship car in national rally cross, and is a very functional off road toy even In stock trim, right?"
There has been surprisingly little comparison or mention of hair dresser car, but I do catch a lot of flack being so big and climbing out of a car that is so small.

But, it has a little silver pony badge. It's just in the form of a pictograph instead of letters.
