Are the T-5 manual transmissions the same for the 3800 V6 as they are for the V8? (are they interchangeable)? Specifically will a 1995 T-5 out of a V6 car work for the V8?

Yes. Direct bolt in for the years listed, 1995. But if you want to backdate into a fox, a different input shaft and bearing retainer are needed.
Caveat: Watch input lengths. Something in my memory says the SN95 (maybe just New Edge?) had a slightly longer input shaft so you need to also use the V6 bellhousing.

T5 had lots of changes over time. Looks like your question has been answered, but here is a link to the history of the t5:

Correct. The Sn95 chassis cars have a longer input shaft than the earlier Fox body versions (93 and earlier).
I believe the difference is 5/8"
