Can anyone share the issues that the Neon Rally Cross build/workup was featured?

Looking for a winter project.

Thank you

I do not have the issue but you are looking for but you might want to talk to Chris Greenhouse he has had "some luck" with rallying a neon.

RallyCross Winter Project Recipe:

  1. Do whatever maintenance required and/or desired.

  2. Get snow tires.

  3. Find and attend next rallycross.

I think the GRM RallyX Neon ended up on KYB GR2 struts with ACR Springs, had a hot motor, and a limited slip differential added. That's pretty much the path to follow with any cone squishing rallycross car: good tires, slightly stiffer suspension that doesn't give up travel, and a lsd if budget allows.

Yes, decent tires and some KYB GR2s and you'll be fine. Add the SRT-4 stock springs (which are available pretty cheaply) for some added stiffness and some lift (about an inch, inch-and-a-half). Just remember to use loc-tite, or this could happen to you, too.

Greenhouse's Neon is really well sorted and I'd pay attention to any advice he has to give on the subject.
