Office Decoration - How does your workspace tell your story?

I don't know what to say about mine. It's kind of a conglomeration of mess, neglect, and memories

No decoration, we are in such a constant state of disarray I don't bother. There are problably 5-6 different projects on my desk at the moment.

Chief Wiggums, Cartman police, and pigs in police uniform stuffed toys. Also have various cobra (snake) toys as well as ar-15 parts and a rifle building jig.

I think rifle parts are perfect for decorating a professional office space but ymmv

LOL, right up there with soft porn and nazi memorabilia in a corporate cube farm. I imagine the police have a different vibe to the office though because it would be weird if you forgot to bring your gun to work.

I have a bookshelf loaded with car books and a billet crank for a two liter triumph leaned up in the corner.....

Here are 3 of my 4 walls at work. The forth is behind me, so its not decorated yet. Its sparse, but it does reflect who I am.

Ancient picture but I did have bookshelves full of weird VW stuff and broken parts at my old shop.

My office has ranged from suit/tie formal, to startup hipster, to cube farm.

Several years back after attending Petit LeMans, I got the event poster and a few of the nicer race team photos (all autographed) professionally mounted and framed. They came out great and look great on the wall of the office (much better than the ones I attempted to frame on my own a couple years later).

I currently reside in a cube farm so the pics are living in my home office. I'll see if I can find or take a picture (of a picture) to share.

Mine is a small chaotic mess of driver ed paraphernalia, hot wheels, Star Wars, Thor, SA2000 helmet, a photo of myself and a colleague who passed away too young, pics of my wife and our dogs, a lot of Corvette stuff, and did I mention the 1/32 scale battery operated Corvette slot car track on my table?

I think my office says "nobody home". Been with my current employer as a supervisor for almost 11 years. Finally got an office a year ago. It came with some furnishings, boxes of old files that the previous occupant didn't send off to storage (because the process is a complete PITA), a few piles of old plans, and a stain on one wall.

I've removed about 2/3 of the piles of old plans, added a chalkboard, a coffee pot, and a small fridge...and probably some extra/different piles of paper. The more things change, the more they stay the same...

My office has a variety of texts relative to my work, as well as a bunch of different awards I have collected.

This is back from the very dead. 

My desk is still covered in paperwork and electronic parts. 

It will probably still be covered in another 7 years. 

I work from home, my office is currently "decorated" for the holidays. The walls are rather bare since I recently took everything down and painted, haven't felt like poking holes in the walls to hang all my maps and posters back up yet.

My office has it all - my unfinished basement offers expansive views of HVAC ductwork, floor joists, and poorly organized christmas decor in storage containers. Between my furnace, the sump pump, and hot water heater, theres never a dull moment on the white-noise front. Wanna have a nice video chat with coworkers? Theyll love hearing my washing machine discharge at random times throughout the call! And if you love the sound of your dog walking on hardwood floors just feet above your head while youre trying to conduct virtual interviews, well have I got the home office setup for you!

The one shining highlight is the framed picture of my '72 Monte Carlo that barely has room because my desk is small. Bonus, the treadmill works nicely as a foot rest. At least its cool in the summer...

Hmmm...7 years later, I work for a new employer in a new undisclosed location.  I no longer am a supervisor or have an office. I am back in the cube farm doing design work (by choice). So there is a calendar, a map, and 2 PE licenses hung up on my cube walls.  A couple of framed wedding photos of me and my dearly departed bride on one shelf. There are a bunch of technical books and manuals along with a bunch of samples of various components used in projects I've worked on in the past taking up the rest of the bookshelf.  Some plans on my desk.

That I might have a problem. 
 

After being moved to an outpost office, this appeared.

I found this in the rag bin and it's hanging  in the shop beside my box. I sometimes have to point at it 

I travel four days a week and spend every Friday on conference calls at this desk.

Boxes of hotwheels, manual for whatever I'm working on; check and check.

Edit: and in the closet to the left is a few more hot wheels
