"...The car makes things easy for drivers who actually enjoy the act of driving, using dynamic stability control and traction control to monitor the car around corners and through slick patches..."
Last time I checked, someone who actually enjoys the act (ney, art) of driving doesn't want those stupid computers.
What's strange is the number of car related content she's written.
So either no one's tried to help her out, her editor doesn't know anything about cars either, or she's damn cute and gets away with anything.

Not knocking the car nor its sales success, I'm just thinking that they appeal to regular people and not just us.
Yeah, but it isn't ONLY enthusiasts that read magazines like Car and Driver...
Good point. I'll concede. I bet most models see a drop in sales in the final year before a major change. I still would've thought Mustang sales would tower over Camaro sales this year based on what I see driving aaround, but the flaw there is that I get to see decades of Mustang sales vs. one year of Camaro sales.
Oh yes, an obvious voice of authority on all things automotive-related.

Leslie could teach this poor girl a few things about automotive writing. Ms Elliot may not be able to dangle a participle, but I bet she has a degree.(reference to unemployable thread).
The guys making too many torques with their NOStroboosters are probably just making too many boosts.

This thread has spawned more new words that I will incorporate into my posts because they're just too damned funny, I had to give them definitions so I can apply them uniformly:
1) Turbobooster - noun, lame forced induction, ex. electric supercharger, turbonator
2) Torquepower - adjective, your car's power relative to ZOMBIES! ex. my car has 120HP but 500TP (the number of zombies one can mow down with his or her vehicle before said vehicle will fail)
3) Turborque - verb, to be Turborqued is equivalent to being Borked, alternative spelling Borqued. Also, think Sweedish ChefSpeak: I gut toorburqooed by thet foocker oon creeegslist! Borque Borque Borque!
4) NOStroboosters - so awesome it rejects all classification of speach, ex. when this baby hits 88MPH you're gonna see some serious E36 M3.

all jokes aside, a new svo would be sick huh? raze, i love the back to the future reference
It is amazing that the third-string Mustang makes the Z-car sweat.

I broke out in a cold sweat thinking I had missed a back to the future reference. I saw it, just forgot it was there, I'm OK.
Let's see if those bastards can do 90!
Roads? Where the new Mustang is going...we don't need roads...

This reminds me of that recent story that claimed you can convert an Airsoft to a real AR-15 by just swapping in a real receiver. And without a background check of any kind. Facepalm.
Journalism isn't what it used to be.

It's exactly what it used to be, you just didn't realize it then.

This should be in the dictionary under "Journalism" XD

I concur, but everything I've heard is that Ford is pretty adamant about NOT putting an ecoboost motor in the Mustang. That, and to get the weight down to where an SVO makes sense would probably make it confusingly expensive to most buyers (wait... they want how much... for a 4-cylinder?)

They had exactly this problem with the original release of the SVO Stang, the price premium just wasn't worth it, now if you gave a 4 banger ecoboost Stang for a nice discount under the V6 I think there'd be some interest...

Thank goodness this article came to light. Now I know when I megasquirt the Volvo, I'll monitor the turboboosters AND the sparkplug status. Not bad for no OBD, huh?
Burn the witch! She's like that succubus on South Park that got to Chef.
The graphics on this page tell you everything that went into the article without reading a word... a moderately handsome woman, some charts & beer. And KITT.
this reminds me, i forgot to check my torqueinator fluid in my honda... veeetac yo!
