Another factor not mentioned is the environment. The OP says it's pretty safe which implies that he knows: 1. The location of any and all mud/dirt/gravel/rocks/water/moisture along the route. 2. The location of every car/walker/jogger/bicyclist/motorcyclist/animal anywhere along the route.

When you don't know these things, you go 8/10. Go off yourself and hit a tree, well fine, you signed up for it, but involving a third party is something you'll live the rest of your life with.

Sounds like most of you are way ballsier than I on public roads, I wont got over 6/10...used to have friends try the touge thing, they wrecked their cars and bikes, lost a friend who was a passenger on an empty country road at 4am, few bikes playing touge, one bike split a deer in half and my friend the passenger heatbutt a tree..driver was fine and still thinks hes a touge racer.

Trying not to offend and Maybe unrelated maynot be. Which age group do you belong to? 15-18 or 19-21?

Thanks desmond, this is what im talking about, we rairly get into ANYTHING competive and 80% is really all i ever try to put down, very rairly exceeding that. so calling it "touge racing" may be a stretch. I was really just tryng to get ahold of some other people who werent gonna act like complete jackasses for a cruise. Nothing sinister haha thanks again everyone

the important thing to remember is that if you want to run the best times and win at touge racing, R compounds are definitely needed, especially at night. The cooler the evening the greater the benefit will be. A lot of guys get rid of their R compounds after 2-3 track days, but they still have a lotta life left in them, run them until cords start to peek through, they won't be quite as good as new, but still better then the dude running Nexen high performance all season tires trying to keep up.
