That's right, I may be the first person out there who is installing Hawk HPS pads.....on a Toyota Sequoia
On a side note, these pads are about twice the size of the ones on my WRX....
Hawks on my tow pig...2000 F350 crew cab 4x4 PSD. The stopping difference was phenomenal. 4 wheel discs...without a trailer it stops about as well as stock pads do on a sedan.
I've been thinking about this for the 4Runner. Figured when the current brakes wear out, I'll step up to the Sport setup and better pads.
All of my vehicles have darn near the best tires I can buy for them, price be dammed. The importance of good rubber is something I picked up here.
OK, that's not completely true, my rallycross car is on cheap crap.
I tried teh LTS brakes on my frontier. I swear they were worse than the parts stores brakes.
With that said, we run Hawk Black or Blue on our racecars and have not had any problems and they wear fantastically!
The brakes on my 1998 Sienna XLE were horrible until I bought some Centric rotors and Stop Tech Street Performance pads. Now it can actually stop reasonably well, but my wheels do get dirty.
In our house the minivan gets the most expensive tires: new Continental ExtremeContact DWS for summer and Continental ExtremeWinterContacts for winter. The BMW gets Craigslist and eBay specials.
Hawk HPS compound is overpriced and not even very good.
Reminds me I need to refresh the brakes on my F250 before horse season starts. 13.6" rotors and still cheap hahaha
