What has the lowest repair index on Rock Auto?
The lowest I've found so far is a 1979 Fiat X1/9. It is 99% the cost of a 1998 DOHC Dodge Neon.

I had never noticed it either. It was referenced on the "Viper grassroots?" thread.

I was entertained for a few minutes plugging in different vehicles.
Where's that berking Geo Metro thread where everybody kept saying it was cheaper than a P71 to maintain?!?!?
Cheaper than a crown vic!! Plus thats pretty efficient maintenance per liter Though I bet performance is a different story there haha.
That's surprising. The Super Coupe is cheaper than the F350. I assumed the opposite.
Edit: It's cheaper than any other car I own.

I've found one cheaper. I used to own a '73 808 - dirt cheap parts for the ones you can find. 72% of the Fiat.
Parts for the 1979 FIAT X-1/9 1.5L cost 1.39 times the cost of parts for a 1973 MAZDA 808 1.6L
In reply to Tyler H:
Bwahah!!! So true...
I compared my '07 Accent to my '96 Miata, it said the Accent parts are only 85% of the Miata parts. I presume that's stock-equivallent parts, not performance ones.
According to RockAuto my '83 VW Rabbit GTI is only 73% of your baseline '79 Fiat X1/9 parts cost. Towards the opposite end of the spectrum, my 2000 Range Rover runs a whopping 271% of the Fiat's cost. Sounds legit.
The 2002 E39 M5 isn't so hot. 234% of the Fiat. But it's at least 300% more car.
The 1966 Land Rover is....insufficient data. That means that Land Rover owners are too cheap to buy parts, they just take the least worn part out of a parts vehicle and put the old one on a shelf until it is less worn than the part that replaced it.
A 1973 Mercedes 280 is 91% of a 1996 Miata. That should make my friend Eric happy.

Well, since i recently made a post about how ridiculously cheap a dodge shadow is to maintain on Rockauto, here you go:
2000 Jeep Cherokee is only 106% of the Fiat.
1990 Mazda MX6 GT Turbo is only 105% of the Fiat.
1993 Miata is only 101% of the Fiat.
1988 Mazda MX6 GT is 87% of the fiat. BOOYAH!
2004 Mazdaspeed Miata is 142% of the Fiat.
1993 Ford Escort GT is 83% of the Fiat. BOOYAH!!!
My average is 104.8% of the Fiat. So basically my fleet is like maintaining 6 Fiat X1/9s at once. yay.

As I recall, it was cheaper to operate, not cheaper to maintain.
