Modern fuel makes me sad. It's not designed for carbs, so boils in the bowl far easier, evaporates far worse...That is the number one Q-jet issue that can't be easily solved, at least here in the north. We brew our fuels differently, compared to hot places down south.
Nothing a guy can't live with, unless you are trying to explain to the new owner of the dream musclecar that he can't just treat it like his new F150.
I understand the shortcomings of the Holley sitting on the blower of my Camaro. I accept them.
Yep, the Q-jet on my '67 Buick Skylark/Special needs to be primed if it sits for more than week here in the Pac North. But then again, I also suspect that the fuel bowl welch plugs might be leaking.
