After years of wanting and searching, we have scored a Mustang SSP coupe. It only needs everything. But we are making progress. It sat 10 plus years under a tree in Central Florida and we were pleased to get it running and driving (well!) with doing only the things you would have to do with anything that sits for that long. I bought a 331 with a list of the right stuff but the more I think about it, the less I want to overly hot rod this straight and stock car. But the original sbf smokes. Not all the time and not the same amounts. Looks oily to me. Does not use coolant. Actually idles and runs beautifully. "common wisdom" says the valve guides are the primary culprit. I am now wanting to HCI the original motor. And save the 331 for something a little more fun to get rowdy with. What say you? And recommendations on HCI pkg?
