That is a good looking car! Glad you finally found your grown man cruiser. I love how these sit in the rear.

Are you going to keep the car 5x108?

Here is a link to some oem wheels

For now I'll keep the bolt pattern.  I'm currently browsing through OEM offerings from Jag, Rover, and a couple others to see if there is one I like that can be found in a junkyard.  From your link, I dig these:

And then maybe some Town Car BBS?

Maybe. The BBS style looked good on the older Mark VII, but I'm not sure it would fit the curvier Mark VIII as well. Google isn't helping me visualize them on a Mark VIII. Some CCW's might give a similar look, and they fit Mustangs pretty well:

OF course those might blow the budget...

Those are a stock Lincoln wheel, yes?

I put a set of those on my 79 LTD. The town car center caps didn't look right, but a set from a grand marquis or crown vic would look better

Excellent score.

Most of anything can be parts bin engineered for/to better solutions.

If you wanted better power, you can swap to "C" heads from the PnP out of a continental. I'd do the "J" mod for the aode asap. Then a torque converter because they suck.

So, according to Roadkill customs, there are plenty of Volvo wheels that will fit, assuming the offsets are in the 35-40mm range.  What are all of your favorite Volvo wheels?

Factory is 16"  I don't mind going a bit bigger, like maybe 18 or 19, but I don't want to paint myself into a corner with making the ride harsher, or only being able to run ultra-high performance rubber.  The goal here is to keep this in the grand touring realm of tires.... as in one step up from whitewalls.  Think Michelin Primacy, Goodyear Assurance, kinda tire.  I don't want to end up with a choice between Kumho Ecsta or Pirelli P Zeros on a car that is going to be used to gobble up highway miles

Other than the fact that they ride like a dream and look way cool, I know that if u have to ever change the starter it helps to have a four foot long extension so u can get at the bolts from way up front.

Hope to see you in April, but it was $3k.  Maybe I'll have the Caddy 500 stuffed into the 83 Corolla by then,  though.  That could be fun.

One problem with Roadkill Customs is that the info is not current.  I think some other 5x108s include the '13+ Lincoln MKZ, Lincoln MKX and Recent Continental. Going back a little further also the 2003-ish Lincoln LS.  The factory wheels from them MIGHT work.  More research needed.  Factory Lincoln wheels would give you proper Lincoln logo center caps.

Similarly then the Ford versions of same, '13+ Fusion, Escape and maybe recent Focus might work too.  You might be able to swap center bore logo caps from a Lincoln onto Ford wheels.

How do you feel about 5 spokes?

Crappy pictures but we ran the Challenge Lincoln on a set of Taurus 16"ers that we painted gunmetal.

That BaT listing was where I actually snagged the first photo because I didn't have a pic of the actual one I bought yet.

I like 5-spokes, and those look nice on your Mark.  I was originally leaning toward something more meshy instead of sporty, but there are all kinds of 5-spokes out there to consider.
