So in case you 323 guys are still lurking/watching.
If a set of LEDA coilovers popped up locally... would you buy them to hang onto? Sub $500 cost for what I believe are typically 2k+ shocks/springs etc...
No. But I might buy them to put on my car.
If you don't want them, let me know. I'm interested.

Corby_baby and SvRex, send me your emails and I'll forward the pictures/contact info of the guy.

Hey GTX guys/gals. Where is the fill for the Transmission? I see one on the front driver side of the trans that looks promising... but there is also a nice big hole up top... do i fill up there... leave front open to level check?
Most fluids done, autox tomorrow.
Got it, all topped off. Maybe I'll rebuild distributor real quick also... hurm.
Survived its first autox. The generic all seasons took a chunking beating... poor things. Air pressure tweaks got it rotating... bit bouncy and I'm wondering about how healthy the shocks are.
Needs more boost and tires and it'll be a HOOT I think :)
Just found some :) Rehosted so I can link... and boom.

didja make sure and drainnfill the centerdiff as well?
did it behave itself well? Wheel-tuck in pic one is bitchin!
It did well I think. Tire pressure tweaks (alot more in rear) helped it rotate some. But the all seasons were a loosing battle. All the sidewall felt like it negated aspects of the setup suspension. Car was floppy. You can see like half the sidewall is missing in that hard cornering picture...195/55 Nexens ... fine for the road... poor chunky round things at autox.
I did also notice a very minimal crank pulley wobble, so its time for that repair.
I also wonder if distributor weight springs are done, had some weird bucking during some cornering full throttle 2nd gear. Small things to work on :)
So if I sold this and got money back into the miata budget... it wouldn't be a bad thing right?
Car (runs wonderfully) + entire spare drivetrain (including the rare Tokico Dirtas)

We'd no longer like you. Does that count?
I'll trade my 95 M3 SC for the Miata plus cash. I really want a Miata for some reason.
Considering where the funds would be going, I can't say I'd be against it.

There is no sin committed as long as you make sure that she finds a good home... like mine...
PM me the details IF you decide to sell...
I'm starting to really think the sale would help me focus on the miotta again.. Which I want and need.
Just to wet appetites, it is this car http://www.angrywolf.com/gtx/gtx.htm
Minus bad wheels, stickers and with a rebuilt happy motor with mazdaspeed high volume oil pump.

GTXs have a tendency to seek new owners on a fairly regular basis I feel a bit like a recovering addict whenever I see one for sale - I get the itch that maybe I need another. But I am strong.
The thing is though, I feel like that happens because they have a part break and someone gives up. I'm only doing this so I can keep my mind on task with the Miotta. This is a good runner... no need to work on it. I just don't have time to add in rallyx/icex/autox stuff into my life. I need to build the Miotta and get back on track. GTX is to fun to drive and distracts me.
In fact the only things I had planned for it were:
Glass sunroof swap (escort GT ones fit)
Check grounds on windshield wiper motor (its getting slow)
Install the new lip I got for it.
Anyways... sale thread here. I'll update there when I remember things I've forgotten.

whew, thats a helluvadeel. I must remain true tho, My heart belongs to the dream of a boosted s10 autocrosser. Good luck with the sale. Thats a great jumping off point for someone for sure, or even just a fun DD.

I hear you. As I've said, its the reason it is up for sale. Having a fun car I can just go and drive makes it to easy to skip getting into my project.

I approve of this thread!
sounds so similar to my all trac.
I have such a love hate relationship with my damn celica. 20 year old, awd turbo cars break parts often...
how much are you planning on selling it for?

The link covers all the details but its basically a built up STX autox car + entire spare drivetrain for 4k. That of course is a starting point... I'd love to get the asking price... but it isn't the first car I've sold :P
