Forgive me for not knowing this was a thing, but I just found this while eating breakfast and knew I had to share.

Keiichi Tsuchiya on the same race track as Dale Sr.? Way cool.

Think they were flat through 130R?

Edit - No 130R as they just ran half the track which is a pretty good layout for these cars

Loved this! They did this for a few years - 1996 and 1997 at Suzuka, and 1998 at Motegi. 1998 was the first time Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. competed against each other in a NASCAR Cup-style car.

That's way cool.

I'd say it's high time they go back.

I remember some of the NASCAR drivers also tried their hand at drifting during their visit. Have vague recollections of Kenny Wallace and Michael Waltrip, though I could be making that up. Can't find any footage of it.

Yes, Kenny Wallace and the late Kenny Irwin checked out drifting. More info here: When East Met West: Nascar In Japan - Speedhunters
