Hey Guys,

I have a chance to buy a T-5 for cheap.

Problem is: I don't know squat about these trannys....

I have heard that the earlier models use the GM Input/Output spline configuration from the 70's and Early 80's....True??

Is there a website or public forum that has the Tranny model numbers and cross-refs to the ratios?

Any specific years of production to avoid?

Any help is appreciated!

TIA

Rog

First find out if it is a world class, they can actually handle a bit of power, there is a way to check if there is no bellhousing on the trans, it is the disc beside the input shaft.

This shows a good picture of what to look out for

Note the starter position also, as the Camaro is located in a different position.

How many splines on the input shaft?

Is it a Ford or GM?
