I'm wiring up an innovate scg-1 in a 2000 mr2 spyder, and I'm a little stumped as to where tk pick up tachometer signal. The directions say to pick up from the ground for an an injector on stuff with cop ignition. I'd rather not cut the injector harness if possible. Any suggestions?
There is probably a wire you can splice on one of the instrument cluster plugs. The FSM will have a pinout.
It turned out to be super easy. Just grabbed signal from the tach input on the cluster and the gauge had a setting that adjusted it in seconds (manually). So far the scg1 seems slick. Gonna be fun to have data and boost control with multiple failsafes as well. Cool unit.
