What I really want to see, just for fun, is someone run something like a Formula Atlantic or higher car just so we can see the difference between modified production cars and purpose built race cars.
Not going to happen but I want to see it.
There's a guy with a Continental who's at a lot of the track days. I think he's in the 12s or 13s pretty consistently.

So pretty much the same times as the C8 ZO6 maybe even a touch faster.
That says a lot for both cars.
Oh man. I had to pull the trans on Sunday (5th gear wasn't working). Got the parts and some guidance on Thursday night. Got it back together (trans) last night.
Trans is bolted in the car right now. I gotta finish everything else tomorrow morning.
Then drive 4.5 hours to Starke Florida. Start driving fast on sunday morning.
The stress is real...
I am excited for this TT!
JG, if you get a minute, wanna drive a 10 top 2k challenge car on the track? It's tight on height with helmet.

Hope it all works out man. I still haven't heard exactly what the track config is going to be for Sunday, but I'm hoping we use the shoebox. The short course + shoebox is really pretty fun. Busy, but really cool. I think it may actually come down to a driver's meeting vote.
And, yeah, I'm usually down to take a few laps in whatever I can hop into if time allows. :)
Car is back together. Let's see if I make it to Florida this afternoon.
Made it! Laid down a mediocre time.
Car decided it didn't like the throttle pedal input after about 4 laps.
Sitting 3rd in TA4. (There is only 3).
Lolz.
Grabbing lunch near the Georgia Florida line. So far so good!
Nice chatting with you JG!

Yeah super glad you made it and got some laps in. I'm glad i loaded up when I did as by the time I made it to the gate the skies just opened up.
My only decent session was the first one, when the track was still wet and dusty. After that I sprung a boost leak which certainly didn't help on a track that was mostly "go down there, turn around, come back, repeat."
So BMW diagnosis is on the menu for this week.
