I've parked my Mini next to plenty of MINIs (or BINIs) and that photo does not really show the massive size difference between a Mini and a MINI.
I can't tell the first MINIs from the second generation of MINIs and didn't even know there was now a 3rd generation on the way.
I could accept a larger mini if it had like a 2.0 turbo with awd and a manual or something. 1.6 200hp fwd big mini? no thx, i'll buy a Fiat 500 Abarth.
There's another new Mini variant that I saw for the first time in Austin the other weekend. The Paceman
Oh, and after everyone has been bitching about Ford 'stealing' Aston's' grille, what about the new Mini? That looks just as much 'Aston' as the Ford grille, ignoring that Ford owned Aston for a long time and helped evolve the current Aston grill.
P.S. I have no issue with the current range of MINI vehicles or the current range of Porsche or most others. I'm just odd around here as I don't accept the mantra that a small light manoverable car and Mad driver Skilzz can win over crush zones and air bags in all cases such as being rammed into from behind when stopped at a light, or a 2 ton SUV T bonning you in an intersection. I accept that a)I'm not Seb Vettel and b) I don't have 360 radar and ESP perception to plot in 3D what ever other car and driver around me are doing. So as I suck so bad I'll go and driver modern cars for my DD's

Agreed. That picture had some tweaking done to it to make the size difference between the original Mini and newer MINIs not quite as drastic. When I park my '64 next to MINI's at club events, the new cars dwarf mine.
A Paceman is a rare beast. Sales figures have been well under expectations. I kinda like the idea of a JCW version, but damn they're expensive - well into the upper $30K range with minimal options and you'll touch $40K if you even look at the option list too hard.
