Looks nice, low miles. Possible downsides? 5 owners.
Looks like a lot of car for $19k
What say ye?
Nice clean relatively low miles M5 but I wouldn't pay more than about 16 for that. The Dinan stuff is nice but not that nice - the intakes are just bling, the exhaust is a nice piece that supposedly sounds very nice and the tune gives more power but the stock tune is fine. I'll let Keith and the other M5 owners chime in but that's my opinion.
I don't follow the pricing that close, but I can tell you that the Dinan exhaust sounds incredible. I have that piece and love it. An M5 without it sounds terribly boring.
I was seriously looking into them about a year ago. Lots of options in the $15-16k range, as others have said. For a $4k premium, it'd better be perfect. This one looks like it's well taken care of, but it's the wrong color and doesn't have the extended leather package. And why do used car dealers insist on smothering everything with greasy Armor All?

If I had a silver M5, I'd just have the song on endless repeat... until I lost my license...

I'd be careful with those in the $15k-$16k range. The ones I looked at in that range were almost all MY2000 cars and had high mileage. The cars got much better by MY2003.
$19k sounds a little high unless it's a perfect car. Values seem to be dropping like Greek bonds at the moment.

You have to hang on to, and baby, your M5 for, oh, 5 years, then let me buy it. Best gen, best color.

I'd say closer to 5 months as opposed to 5 years!

Blur - Song 2 (1997) - my favorite song to drive like a hoon to in my M3

Good god man, you go through cars!
Seeing as I just fixed all the little stuff that was wrong w/ the M3, and I'm going to Summit Point this weekend to use up some extra Performance Friction + Toyo so it doesn't go to waste, I'm in no crazy hurry to throw down for a grownup car.
I may start a "Gazillion dollar, perfectly sorted, needs nothing, M3 is surplus to my needs - sell as track car or take out the roll bar/harnesses/seats/QR steering wheel and sell as a "street" car" thread.
