It is a turbo. The original motor is in pieces in my garage awaiting the heads at the machine shop. Its running a 110 with 2 carbs at the moment.
Cool they didn't make much turbos that year just over 1900 so fairly rare and the last year of the turbo and the corsa.

I think I have the best of both worlds. I built my 66 Chevelle to drive everyday, rain or shine so MPG was important. My original goal was 35 MPG. So I went with an efficient modern V6 and a double overdrive 6 speed auto.
Even though the drivetrain is from a 2013 Camaro the car is a 66 so no smog rules or inspections, even here in California.
So far I'm averaging 30-32 MPG so I'm pretty happy. It's also pretty fast, pretty light (3260 lbs with full tank) and very quiet.

I had a 67 chevelle for a few years I always loved the 66-67 a body's.
