Is there a way to boost this? I mean, can you somehow get 4 stock IHI or some other not so great small turbos and make a quad turbo V12?
That just makes too much sense in my head.
Well, the motor does have 8.8:1 compression, and the rods and crank are forged, sooooo
Engine bay is already a bit cramped, but there is plenty of room in the backseats!
This is a challenge car, go all Mad Max and bolt the turbos to the fenders where they can be seen and appreciated by the crowd. Pull the exhaust into a giant stinger that runs over the top of the car.
In my mind I am already looking out for a spare engine to take with you so that when you grenade the first one you are ready to take on a most excellent and epic parking lot engine swap to complete the event.

I like these criterea and would like to follow similar but I have come across a real unicorn that though not quick enough, may still be cool.
- RWD a must check
- 300 HP preferrable stock mearly 190 hp
- 15 second 1/4s stock a lowly 16.8
- 155 MPH top speed stock unknown
- must have 12 cylinders tiny 3.0L V6
- must fit challenge budget asking $1,500
Like I said though a real unicorn at 88k miles. If I did this one, I would attempt a drive-in, drive-out approach.
That means 1,000 miles to reach Gainesville then compete and drive back 1,000 miles. A little extra Challenge but this car should be a real pleasure on the open highway.

Damn, I want that for my DD.

Ooooh! Looks nice. I'm sure it also fails the hidden requirement of:
- must have many expensive things go wrong for no reason, at all times, in all places.

I know!!!
I have no real need for it and it does not really fit in to my DD needs but I have always liked them.
The only real justification that I can give to owning it is to Challenge it but even then it would just be a mediocre Challenger.
I could try to resell it but I bet that market is pretty small. (23 yr old, largely unknown, not really lux car.)

I had that last year...got the t-shirt. Or, more should I say, got the white velour track suit!

This is a great idea, but my current backup plan is to just buy a whole 'nother car down in FL if I grenade the first. Then the epic swap is to swap everything over...
Miami CL 750il - $1600

If I really want to embrace the hidden requirement, I have this local option bookmarked:

Now that, is COOL! I didn't know what it was so I had to wiki it. Basically a twin of the acura legend but with better springs, dampers, interior (and wait for it: british engine and electronics).
I especially like this part of the wiki page:
Early build quality of the 800 was demonstrably poor as measured by J.D. Power. The various problems included issues with interior trim, problematic Lucas electronics, and paintwork. Corrosion problems in early models would also mar its reputation. All of this contributed to the eventual demise of Rover in the United States. The Sterling fell to the bottom of J.D. Power surveys, while ironically its twin, the Japanese-built Acura Legend, had enjoyed top rankings its first year.
Maybe since its a shared platform with the legend, you can get an awesome honda JY swap and even 'make' budget money due to the rarity of the engine that's in there?
I really want to see a quad turbo. I have to many projects now and my wife would kill me. Plus I have NO room to attempt at the moment.
The next boosted thing will get this:
BUT its missing the turbine housing, so then I will need to get something like this:
and some magic and more or less make this:

I just saw this minutes ago on my local CL. It is in the same small town as me so it can not be more than 5 miles from my house.
The seller gives no number, just email. I have replied!
It was listed 18 hrs ago. I fear it will have already sold.
Asking $1k '75 w/ 260 V8 and 3 speed manual on the floor.

Not mine. I heard nothing back![](/media/img/icons/smilies/unhappy-18.png)

I would have taken it close to the way it is but also, one wrecked pick up truck's worth of parts could have really transformed it.
