Dad of the year right there. I remember getting whooped by my dad in Mario Kart. Every. Damn. Time.

TIL that after getting 3" of rain in the last 3-4 days, you can a find 1/4" Craftsman Ratchet washed up in your ditch.

Yesterday I learned that my son can walk 10 steps. It'll be an exciting Christmas!

Yesterday I learned that when choosing a new mirror for your bathroom, you really should measure the distance between the wall and the faucet, to make sure you can actually turn the faucet on with the mirror installed.

I also learned that my Black & Decker stud finder thinks there is a stud every 3" or so..

Chanel No.5 was released in 1921.

The stuff is darn near 100 years old!!!

I thought it was from the 60s or 70s not the early 20s

I'd like to learn more about this.

As would I.

Spoolpigeon... such wisdom. Let me write that down. As for me, I learned backdating Spitfire bumpers is much more hellish than I remember it being 20 years ago. Must have taken me six hours. But much of that time was spent getting the white paint off the front spoiler that some dumb ass painted on.

Today I learned, that it was good that I did not cut the wires on the Subaru harness like instructed here:

http://www.shoptalkforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=136053

If I had, it would have been bad. The ECM is on the opposite side of the car on obd II cars.

I also learned the fender needs to come off to get the harness from the kick panel FB to the underhood FB out of the car, and that I may need to sawall the exhaust to get it off.

I also learned that Docctors office suck when it comes to returning phone calls requesting records.

Not today but I've learned to check your boots for dog E36 M3 before going up the ladder. It sucks to find it with your hand as you're coming down.

Today I learned instead of spending an hour making new metric copper banjo bolt washers on a lathe that I should just spend more than 5 min looking for the lost one. Doh, not even 6inches from where it was originally.

I had also learned this in the past, however, I have forgotten about it until I read your post. I have most likely forgotten due to the lack of neighborhood dogs running free lately.

Today I learned my hard work to to eliminate 3k in gains from the sale of my only profitable stock of 2015 was for not.

I now know what a wash sale is, and I don't like it.
If you sell stock at a loss within 30 day of a buy of the same stock, you don't get the loss on that sale, it carries forward to the new purchase.

Well at its only 3000 bucks I am paying taxes on and not 1.3 billion.

FWIF I've found that Texas Roadhouse is a tiny bit better than the other choices we have around here ... which is probably more of an indictment of the others than any praise for Texas Roadhouse
