Or something more 'racey'? 1970 Open GT $1200 was really tempted on this one, but I already have a MG Midget, need another car I can't fit in? NO

I almost posted that one too but decided to leave it at 2. Tempting!
Mazdaspeed protege
I'm tempted to go and get it to raid for to limited slip, then sell the engine, ecu and interior bits to recoup

that protege seems like a prime canidate for rallyx abuse
Before I found this thread, and wasted 30 minutes on CL Vermont, I asked my wife if we each get 1200 or just the household. She asked why? I mentioned the need for a roll cage in my Scirocco. She gave me THAT look. So, no, I won't be buying any car stuff.
In reply to 79rex :
I'm somewhat curious if 15" wheels would fit in place of the 17" factory Hart wheels.
This and make it rally ready

Some will. Some will not. Depends on spokes and barrel shape. I have had 15" wheels on mine but had to be careful where wheel weights were on the inside to make sure they did not rub the brakes.

I had this exact car years ago (96?) to use a work / winter car to keep my mustang out of the weather.
Loved loved that car. Just a blast to fling around. Wish I could find another around here .
Edit: Is this motor related to the Miata 1.6?
I got nothing. Nothing worthwhile locally on CL..
Early 2016 I paid $1200 for a very beige automatic 93 Accord. 120k on it and very clean. If I could find another in that condition I'd buy it right now. I love my current daily, but I yearn to have that old Honda back.
I got a ZX2 free, the easy button is swap alll my good stuff into it.
I have been eyeballing engine transaxles I might be able to shoehorn into it.
Specifically:
I wonder how cheap I can get it and if I could fit the 24 valve v6 into the ZX2....
I have room for 2 fewer cars than I currently have, so I'll get creative here. I'll buy some skinny 17" cheap wheels for my rx8 with the hardest, crummiest, chinese-iest tires I can find. Hopefully I can get many of them as I am married with 2 kids, large check. Then start drifting until they are all corded.

I have the opposite problem, if i happen to glance at rust Im encouraged to buy it. Thats my story of owning 7 cars

I keep going back to it....oh no. I have the RX8 that has back fees due and wouldn't this be a sweet body to drop down onto a RX8 chassis?? HELP, take away my car trailer, please!

If anyone wants to give their check to me, they can have my TDI wagon and the color-matched 2.0 parts car. I really need the garage and yard space.

I really did not need to see a $1,200 MR2 Spyder..... just cleared out a Miata from the driveway so there is an open spot available!
Drives me crazy, here in NW Florida $1200 doesn't even get you a running POS. Poor people need them too badly driving up prices.
I see some great cars in Seattle where people can upgrade easier, much nicer beaters.
Well maybe this
