Hey guys, talking to a guy on Facebook who said he had a "White Spirit" that he was selling from an estate sale. Clearly this is a kit to look like a Lotus Esprit but I can't for the life of me figure out what it was, and I didn't know there were such a thing. Any ideas?

They really missed the mark on that one.
It kinda looks like an Europa to me as well, from the bumper mold. Not too many cars like that.

The windshield door & door window look more Vector-inspired to me.

You were ahead of me. I was drawing E36 M3 like that at 10.
it's like optimus prime got stuck half way between his "transition".
The other car is indeed a Europa, good eye! That's actually why I was talking to the guy, he has the Europa and an extra body (the picture shows a fraction of the spare body) and my brother and I were going to take a look at them sometime in the near future
Somebody really like Bert Raccoon.
The shape looks more severe than it is due to the 2-tone paint scheme with white on top and black on bottom. If you actually go look at it, look for a tag/label/etc. Google failed me on "White Spirit" for cars or "kit cars". Apparently this is more rare than a Saracen or Carabella motorcycle!
Closest thing I could find is a VW-Porsche Tapiro, but that's not it.

It's easy to spot them (Europas) when you walk past one sans-headlight and sans-bumpers every day.
if/when we take a look at the Europas I think I'll try to get some more pictures just for the sake of laughs if nothing else. Also, any idea on values of the Europas? He's asking $5k for the complete one which "needs a gas tank" and from pictures does appear to be totally complete, however needs a thorough cleaning. The body I would have even less of an idea.
