m8-1.25x120mm. Basically the shaft of the board needs to be 4 inches and the threads need to stick out a hair longer than that. This is for spacing my sub frame blocks for the front stabilizer bar brackets. I posted about that a few days ago. Now I know what I need, but Home Depot and Lowe’s don’t have long enough votes Everything they have is 90 mm. The Internet sure doesn’t have a whole lot, that’s for sure

So... why not walk into your nearest Fastenal and buy it?

Is there a Parkrose or TrueValue hardware store near you?
Is there a Fastenal? They do have brick and mortar stores
All of the above often have a better metric hardware selection.
Something to think about: Use a stud instead of a bolt if that helps with your search.
Worst case? hit the local salvage yard and find some from another vehicle that are proper length.

Alternatively, how could I extend a shorter bolt, longer?

Fastenal can get them. It’ll be next week. FWIW, my spacers are 4”, so the bolts need to exceed that by enough to thread in. I did just find some 110mm at the ace in bend. The one in the neighboring town over only had 100mm length.

I didn’t even think of this! Good idea man!
For an interim idea, how about threaded rod? Sold in lengths of a few feet, all you need to do is cut lengths and put a nut on the end.
In reply to tuna55 :
Sadly, while those are “near”. They are at least a two hour drive over the mountain pass. I’d just wait till next week if that were the case. But thanks!
Sometimes the bolt you need is as close as your nearest Pick-n-Pull.
I've sourced many a metric bolt by just walking around their yards and removing a bolt that looks alike it will suit my needs.
Then it just put it in my pocket and I'm on my way.

I ordered from McMasterCarr and it was like overnight. crazy fast
Try boltdepot.com Maybe they can get them to you a little quicker?

So that's a good source, but it's totally stealing. I am sure they won't charge you much for it.
McMaster. I just looked and they have them in steel and stainless steel. Order now, they will ship it today and you'll have it in a couple of days. McMaster don't fool around. They ship lightning fast.
If these bolts from ace don’t work I’ll try the threaded rod/stud route. Seems easier.
In reply to Trackmouse :
Any Tractor Supply or similar farm stores nearby? They have a much better selection of metric hardware than LowesDepot.

Go to a Toyota dealer service department. Ask one of techs if they have a bolt like what you’re looking for. Bet they have a bucket with used bolts and nuts that will have it
In reply to Pete Gossett :
Do have a Coastal nearby.
@sergio, dealer won’t have this. This is a type of bolt they wouldn’t put in any car! Lol. Mostly due to the extreme length vs. shaft diameter.

Then there is the moral argument of stealing versus stealing. [/hijack]
In reply to snailmont5oh :
Explain.
My local Ace hardware store has a pretty good selection of metric bolts. If you have one nearby check them out.
If you'd have ordered from McMaster Carr, you'd already have a tracking number by now.
Look for a local bolt store. They're usually cheaper and don't have to wait for a shipment.

It's only stealing if you don't buy anything else. If you buy the nuggets, the sauce is included.
In reply to Tyler H :
Lmao!
Cousin Eddie, you’re only reader status, can’t trust you yet. (Joking sarcasm!) if I ordered now, would I have it by Friday?
Fyi, the 110mm was too short. It needs that extra 10mm to thread in. So back to either waiting for “chafe-n-y’all” to come through Monday. Or, I trust “cousin Eddie” lol.
but right now, I’m durnk. So tomorrow I’ll check for studs like Stefan suggested.
