If your engine left the engine assembly line after September 1st, you're good. At least according to fords filing.

Congrats! I hope your VIN isn't one of the affected vehicles.
What are you going to spend your FordPass points on?
In reply to stanger_mussle (Supported by GRM undergarments) :
I'm not exactly sure how FordPass points work; Any idea how many come with a Maverick?

FordPass points is kinda like store credit; you can use them for Ford accessories and service at a dealer. You can also order parts and accessories from accessories.ford.com. There is currently a 20% off coupon code on the site until 6/30/23.
Purchasing a Maverick earns you 42,000 FordPass points which is about $210.
I used my points combined with the 20% off coupon on the Ford drop-in modular bedliner. I paid $130 and had it shipped to the nearest dealer for free.
Some people save the points and use them for service at their dealer.

Area 51 XLT! Great color choice! What options did you end up getting? Congrats Tom!
In reply to Tom Suddard :
I wish I would have optioned the 400w inverter, trailer hitch and spray in bedliner. I was worried that those would constrain my build so I left them off. The only option I chose was the Cyber Orange paint for $495.
I hope this isn't too personal of a question, Tom, but did the selling dealer charge you a 'market adjustment' or any other b.s. like mandatory paint protection, fabric protection, etc.?
Nope, not at all. They honored the original deal (X-plan purchase with nothing extra), though the MSRP did increase slightly due to the changes I made a few months ago (bed liner and cargo hooks added). They said I would get a price protection check in the mail at some point to make up for at least some of that MSRP increase, but who knows. I'm not allowed to share the X-plan price, but I'll say it was slightly less than the MSRP on that window sticker. I paid that, plus tax, and that's it. No dealer fees or anything.
I did ask what they'd charge if I didn't pick up the truck, and they said it would sell for $4000 over MSRP.
So I was waiting to sign some more paperwork on a different car before saying anything, but now that's settled so I think it's time to mention that my name isn't the only one on this Maverick's title....
I'm actually going to share it with my father-in-law, who's retired and wants to have a small truck he can take on Lowe's and Home Depot runs. He has a Maverick ordered, too, but who knows if it will ever be built. I'll still be the primary user of this one for the next six months, though, since the dealer forced us to buy with my original X-plan deal or pay that $4000 markup I mentioned a few posts back.
What will I drive in six months? I'll start a new thread when the time comes....

Congrats on the new rig!
For those who care, X-Plan pricing is .4% under dealer invoice. Not sure why that was a secret, literally thousands of organizations in the U.S. qualify for X-plan pricing (though the dealership doesn't have to honor it). Getting that deal on a Maverick is amazing congratulations on that!
I'll be interested to see how much you like it once you've spent some time with it, and what your real-world mpg is.
In reply to Loweguy5 :
I've already spent more than 1000 miles in one--40 mpg across all conditions, 50mpg if I hyper mile:

It's pretty much the perfect daily driver.

I drove one in Austin a few months ago and I agree. It is a really great DD. Once the Element decides to not work anymore, this is high on the replacement list. Good thing is that will be a few years down the road so by then hopefully it won't take 18 months to get one.
Element? Take it to Lake Cumberland or Dale Hollow, park it, go out on the lake for a few hours and you'll come back to a de-catted Element which will get totaled out by the insurance company. Just saying...
So I'm thinking of joining the Mustang Club of America in order to get X-Plan. I am a part owner of a 1985 Fox-body Mercury Capri. Obviously I can provide the VIN. Is this allowed or does it have to be a Mustang? I'm having trouble finding this information on their website.

I don't own a Mustang and joined MCA to get access to X-plan. Did not have to provide evidence of Mustang ownership. You should be good.
Just chatted with my local Ford dealer and they will do X-plan on a 2024 Maverick order when the time comes. The soles person said the order window is expected to open in September. I was pleasantly surprised since they wouldn't last year on the 2023. Not sure if it was a general no on X-plan or specifically on the Maverick last year. I know dealers don't have to do X-plan, but I'm not sure if that is an all in or all out thing or if they can pick & choose which sales or vehicles they will honor it for.
Yep, got the not-an-update also.
I'm pretty sure I'm out and I'm looking for a different truck right now.. but I haven't called or emailed to cancel the order yet. Probably no hurry.
I joined the Mustang Club of America to get X-Plan. When the ordering window opens in September (if it is before the 20th) I may not be fully "vested" in X-Plan for 90 days but it looks like that applies to the "sale" date rather than the "order" date. Am I correct? Using the configurator for 2023 I am at $28,805 for an XLT with $1,600 in options after destination and a $645 "acquisition fee" that I hope X-Plan gets down to $100. Destination is now $1,595. At least I am "farm use" which means no sales tax. It was easy to get hung up on the old $20k number from the 2022 XL hybrids.
