I don't get this swap... the 3.0 i4 is just better. I would have rather of spent the money on a cratered engine FD and then swap another rotary into that lol.
The car didn't have a motor and the 3.0 i4 ain't exactly cheap.
I'm not saying i would have done this swap (not in a million years, in fact), but i get it.
I don't know who did it...But it is for sale on Seattle/Tacoma Craigslist.

Whoa, that's kinda weird. For some reason I don't want it, but that is still kinda neat.

I don't get it but...
If the trans is in the front, what suspension is in the rear? The handling balance of the 968 comes from the transaxle. Move the trans to the front and you have messed with a good thing. The 968 transaxle is one of the biggest improvements over the 951 transaxle, 6 speeds and LSD.
The cardomain link no workee. More build details would be nice, other than built by an aerospace engineer. (As if that is a guarantee of excellence ;) )
In reply to maj75:
The rotary engine weighs less than the Porsche motor. It's likely still the same weight balance moving the trans forward. Even if its not I doubt its a perceptible change in the balance.
