Why do I want a big VIP style luxury car or truck

If you're thinking E38 for the 750iL, they're surprsingly better to maintain than you'd think.  Even more so if you VIP it where you're already ditching the self leveling rear suspension, electronic shocks (if it has them), etc.  A 740iL is probably worse in the long run than the V12 ones.  A little simpler, but the V8s have the lovely timing chain guide issues...

Big Japanese luxury cars are what screams vip to me.  Some of them even have air suspension to start with.   If only the 1997+ century was legal here yet.  

Boattail Rivieras are still pretty cheap.

I have a LS600hL lowered VIPd and a v12 toyota century . If you want to come over 2 hours north - feel free to take them for a drive 

I have owned VIP since 94. When I drive a VIP, I want manual sports car, when I am in manual sports car - I want VIP 

Since  you have big garage and lots of toys - having multiple vehicles to fill each niche is best way 

I get this urge every once and a while and wander through AimGain's website.

Currently hot on their LS500 Vip EXE kit.

Or doing something dumb with a UX250

I'd love to go full malaise era Detroit. Find the biggest, slowest Cadillac or Lincoln I could find, bonus points for a coupe.

I love driving around in huge luxury sedans. I borrowed a MGM for a month and it was cushy and soft and I could fit my road bike in the back seat or sleep in the back seat.

From a stylistic and driving standpoint I prefer a w116/126 Mercedes or a Mk3 XJ6 for my big sedan.

They're often not cambered / stanced to crazy degrees with stretched tires, etc.  Some have a bit of extra camber just to fit more wheel / tire with it super low, but many don't, as they have enough room to tuck the wheels if they're not excessively huge. 

Think of something like these:

Is the Genesis G90 being imported yet?  Probably would suit your needs if you want a new luxo barge.

Nicest B-Body Wagon or Caddy Fleetwood gets my vote.
