Van 1: '06 Sedona, 139k miles, rarely used trailer hitch

Van 2: '09 Mazda5, 90k miles 5 speed

My wife started a new job and would prefer a better commuter than the big Kia. To her credit, she both allowed me to get the Mazda5 and learned how to drive it, but she doesn't like shifting her own gears and I'm not going to gain any more ground.

Plan A was to sell off the Kia and pick up something small and automatic with seat heaters and good MPG. But that will leave us without a normal sized minivan, which we currently use to haul stuff to the dump, pick up plywood, take vacations, etc.

I'm considering Plan B, keep the Kia for all the things its useful for, let my wife get the primo car for once, and drive the Miata as much as possible.

Plan B seems to make a certain amount of sense, but it means selling off the newer car and potentially throwing money into the older car. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Plan B involves driving a Miata. Have you ever seen an unhappy miata driver?

Sounds like Plan B is the logical course. Question is, which car to buy next?
