Would love to find a cosmetically rough Zimmer or Excalibur to use for Lemons.

It looks like some one from Zimmer traveled into the future, saw the BMW E31 8 series and came back and said "I have a great idea!!" then put some creative flair so noone would notice later.

That, or someone from BMW saw the Quicksilver and said "This, but refined"

For some sick reason, I really like the car.  If those are real chrome bumpers...SOLD!

According to IMCDB.com, just one appearance of a Zimmer Quicksilver: “Lockdown.”

Surprised one never turned up in “Miami Vice.”

Cool Honda, too. :)

Or, you could have just bought a Buick Reatta. (edit: I guess Colin Wood beat me to it.)

Which belongs with the Del Sol under cars that look like they should have been mid engined and weren't.

How many body kits existed for the Fiero back in the day? It seems like there were several.

There were so many that I get surprised anytime I see a kit car that isn't based on a Fiero.

“Fiero with a body kit” is an official GRM-ism from way back in the day.

I whole heartedly believe in wide body kits for all cars. However, I think that the Fiero is such a nice looking car that I can't understand why anybody wants to turn it into a replica of some other car like a Ferrari Boxer or Lamborghini Countach. I think that these versions are HOT.

As a former owner of a 86 Fiero SE this is an insult to the generally good looks of the Fiero and in the form presented here is the only car I have ever seen that takes the prize for ugliest car away from the Edsel. The fiero we had was equipped with the 2.8 v6 and 4 speed manual. Once we removed the front steering damper, replaced the factory shocks with adjustable Konis and cut one coil off the rear springs, the car's stance and handling were greatly improved. Was happy to own it for a few years before divorce ensued...and everyone knows how that ended. Badly. Decent car with the mentioned upgrades. Needed another gear and another 100 HP to be a great car.

The yellow wide bodied version pictured above shows what could be accomplished with some imagination and money. That thing is gorgeous...

The yellow car almost looks like a glmpse at what a second-generation Fiero could have looked like.

Man between the Fiero, Reatta and Allante, GM used to absolutely own the dead-end development street market.

I did this rendering back in college (1988ish) on an Amiga 500 for an independent study project. I also made a clay model, but that's lost to history.

I may still own a real one eventually.
