Just got back from seeing it with the wife and 90% of the movie was what I expect from a FF movie. Lots of car porn, return of race wars and over the top action. The last 10 minutes though I was not ready for. It was the teams good bye to Walker and people in the theater were crying. The movie was packed to the gills with Mopars including Brian driving a blue Caravan while pulling dad duty. My wife fell in love with the black Cuda and has now said if I get my 70 Charger she gets a Cuda, though will settle for a Challenger.

One of the funny things was I was not the only one driving a black Charger RT to the movie. There was another black one and there was a silver one as well. Though hearing the other two start up mine was the only one with modifications.

Anyway go see it you know you want to.

I saw it today, in IMAX. First time I've seen anything in IMAX. Liked the movie a lot. Theater was only about 1/3rd filled.

I want to find out more on the Caprice near the end.

I had some allergy issues at the very end.

Saw it Friday evening. It was fun playing "what movie did they crib this scene from?" I saw a mid afternoon showing, but I was still surprised to not see anyone leave the parking lot like a high schooler on meth...

The Caprice was awesome, it didn't get enough attention.

It was everything I expected, no more, no less. The goodbye to Paul Walker was pretty well done, it worked both on the scale of the movie and the franchise.

Yeah I was kinda digging that Caprice myself. Those are a dime a dozen to.

Yep there are a bunch of Caprice Classics on my craigslist search for challenge money. Engine and drive train would be easy enough to come up with but a suspension to make the thing handle how you would want might be tricky.

I also got thinking about it and there were 4 different Chargers featured in the movie.

The wife and I saw it. We liked it but we like big crazy action movies. I'm not sure I understand why they had the Kurt Russell/Hacker subplot when Toretto vs Shaw would have been a good flick by itself. I was hoping for more screentime with the Tokyo Drift cast.

Saw it, enjoyed it.
Han is my favorite, makes me wonder if they'll hop around the FF timeline anymore.

Saw it, thought it was better than FF6, the ending set piece was slightly more plausible than a 30 mile long runway fight scene. Loved the fight scene with R&R (trying not to give away too much for folks who haven't seen it yet.) How many 68 Chargers have they trashed between the 7 movies I wonder?

i did not and will not see this movie. saw the first one and the Tokyo one, and i can honestly say the only part i liked well enough to bother remembering at all was the first 5 minutes of the Tokyo one with the badass Monte Carlo.

i don't know what year the Caprice was, but making one handle isn't much of an issue: 73-77 A bodies and 77-96 B bodies- as well as the front half of 70-81 F bodies and 75-79 X bodies- are built off the same platform, and there are a ton of parts to make them handle.. just look up parts for a 94-96 Impala SS and have fun deciding which combination of parts will work best for what you want to do.. or look into the wonderful world of roundy round racers, where cheap parts are readily available.

Looked to be a mid 80's model, small discreet NASCAR-esque rear spoiler, caged, beefy looking 15" wheels, looked to have some big power and some athletic moves to back it up. Exactly the way I would build one.

In reply to novaderrik: You know, there was an old Panther body Marquise for sale cheap down these parts ($650). I was thinking about doing something in that vein to that. Even though the "Box Chevy" tax is still in effect around here, I could still find one pretty cheap (about 1K). That Caprice really gave me some ideas

We went to see F7 yesterday, of course we liked it. It is exactly what we expected, lots of cheese and over the top. The last bit was very well done goodbye to Paul Walker. SWMBO mentioned it was the most men she had ever seen having eye allergies in a theater.

The acting kept getting in the way. And Turetto and company destroyed more of LA than the tch-tari and The Avengers did NY.

Made by Scott Spock Racing and Nelson Racing Engines, it has a 2000-horsepower engine and can reach speeds of 260mph. It's valued at more than $1million (£675,000).

Took the Javelin to the theater to see it.

The Caprice was bad ass, it looked like it was based on BangShift's Buford T. Justice. I liked the Paul tribute. Pretty sure there wasn't one single race in the whole movie, but I still loved it.

I was really digging that one at the end but damn that is a crazy price for a Charger. I would love to know the specs.

I am hoping that they play it again at the drive in when it opens.

Why does every thread on every forum where Fast and Furious comes up turn into a smug fest. Did the same thing happen when the last Rambo movie came out? Or Die Hard? Or Comic Hero flick?

Having different tastes in films does not make one smug.

I was a bit too old for the first FF movie when it came out. I saw it, strongly disliked it and never went back for any of the others. That doesn't make me smug. It simply means I know where my tastes lie and it is not with that franchise.
