He found some wheels that are quite rare, BBS*BMW one year only. He wrangled four from Finland, Germany and the Netherlands; had them shipped home. He took them to the biggest BMW dealer in Fairfield county for mounting. They called two hours later "There's a problem with the valves on the wheels". OK, stop messing with them and I will pick them up.
When he got there he noticed huge scratches on the lip. WTF? "Oh, that didn't happen here", the service guy was quite adament. Rich wanted to talk to his boss. Nope, not gonna happen. They danced for a while. Rich explained that he has a youtube channel devoted to BMWs with 35,000 followers. I am on retainer by YOU to drive and write evaluations on the cars you sell. Now, get me YOUR boss and his boss. Now.
Everybody backed off, service tech was humble and finally admitted that the new tire changer guy dragged them across the parking lot scratching the faces. Wow. They were going to call in a guy that refinishes wheels working out of a taco truck.
Let you know how it ends ....
