RIP Commandant Lassard.
A cornerstone of my childhood is gone.
In not going to lie, i had no idea he was still alive. 98 is impressive.
So sad. 
In reply to mndsm: I had the same thought. I hadn't thought of him in years. I stopped watching Police Academy and Punky Brewster back in the 80s.
