Site is loading QUICK right now. Hopefully problem found and solved.

I'm not going to call it fully solved yet, but we've at least made progress. Now to make it even faster!
It appears that inserting images no longer works from chrome mobile. You get an error message stating that an image must be selected.
I'm much happier today, too. Off to check the howling thread. That was always the pokiest of them all, I found.

I'm getting the same error message when I try to insert an image. So I can't post pics.
Also, I haven't been able to go directly to the most recent post in the "hotlink" thread. I have to open the original post, then go to the current page, then scroll down. And it's still slow.
Might just be me or some gremlins in my network, but in the last couple of days it looks like the forum is slow to respond again.
Anybody else seeing these issues?

Yes, for the past couple of days.
We're still deploying fixes, and still have plenty of to-do items on the checklist. I can say there's been some progress: We've managed a 10.5% decrease in average page load this month vs. the previous, so the fixes are (slowly) working.

Yes, though odds are you can fix it in the short term by specifically allowing emails from us on your server.
In reply to Tom Suddard :
That has been done, and I still get advertising emails directly to my inbox(not fishing them out of a junk folder). Do they originate from the same place?
I have not gotten any PM's or forum notifications since the switch.

The problem is that as users you can not see / feel ten percent better load times when it is taking 5-6 seconds to load a page. And as time goes by the load times get more and more annoying as it becomes the focus of the user even if you have made progress.
My perception of things is it got worse 2-3 weeks ago and has not really changed. The site has lost its snap and is back to being really really good dialup quality
When I get to the office I will look at the down speeds and see if it is caped like it appeared to be the last time I looked at it.
In reply to gumby :
They originate from different places (site emails are sent directly from the server).

Yes, we're aware of this, hence the reason we're still making progress instead of stopping work and calling it fixed.
Okay, quick audience survey here:
We're maybe ~30% of the way through our site speed improvement to-do list, and hoping we've made some progress.
What's the site-speed butt dyno say? Better?
I'm good with it. At this point Comcast is my choke point. My 150mbs was down to about 10mbs last night. The wet ground is killing it and they can't get here until next week.
