I think the retro design thing, although a bit easier with EV platforms in some ways, still runs into the primary issue with these: safety design (required or otherwise).

There's something very, very wrong about the proportions of the Model 01. I don't mind the idea, but it's like you're looking at a widescreen image on an old TV.

If we do end up with a "body on skateboard" architecture for EVs, it might bring back the custom coach builder. Those were never aimed at the affordable mass market the first time around, so I can't see that changing.
I feel like they swung at a 57G Atlantic, and missed way wide of the mark. Instead should have gone "Ursaab"...

The car looks all elegant and the jeep looks like a shoe box on wheels. I do not understand that?? Was the designer having a bad day?
