Our furniture is a hodgepodge of "antiques," mostly Stickley style mission, living room coffee & end tables are transitional marble tops, I don't think I'll be convincing SWMBO to swap them out for magazine storage.
Ammo Depot emailed me this morning with $8 surplus .50 cal ammo cans, even with shipping and tax, that's less than half the price the Military Surplus Store north of town gets for them, so there's 6x .50 cal cans headed my way. I'll consolidate a bunch of stuff, find a new home for the fishing paraphernalia, and get rid of some empty scope and accessory boxes I'm keeping for no real reason. Then I might be able to open the door to the safe again.

I love the idea of the PC9, I'd kept an eye out for their original Police Carbine before they came out with the PC9, having the takedown function and using Glock mags just makes it that much better in my book. I think I'd like the pistol version, with a folding brace. I'm kicking myself for not buying the base model carbine when PSA was selling them for $400 a couple years ago.
Echoing Kazoospec & Bobzilla, it's nice to have a few versions of firearms that use the same mags and ammo, that hasn't stopped me from adding new stuff to my collection though. I've got the 9mm version of the Marlin Camp Carbine Bobzilla mentioned, it uses S&W 59-series magazines, so when Classic had police trade-in 5906es in stock, I had to add one to my collection.

The MKIV is enough of an improvement over the previous generations, just for the ease of field stripping and cleaning, to justify it over the previous generations. My brother has a MKII I've got a MKIV 22/45 lite. I've got an acquaintance with either the hunter or competition version, longer, heavy barrel. I'm a much better shot with it, than I am my own 22/45 lite. Still a hoot to shoot, I wish magazines were cheaper though.
