It just got better. Chrysler asked me if I want access to their paddock to shoot the Viper. Got a message on Twitter from Mr. Gilles himself, looking forward to seeing me there. LOTS of drawing to do afterwards - a centre-spread piece in both the Star, and a glossy magazine.
Yeah, well, I should post pictures of my empty fridge and slowly rotting cars... freelancing ain't easy!
You bet! Staying on site, Audi owns a sort of "hotel" right on the track. We plan to go karting as soon as we get there :-)

It will be a crazy week, as I go directly to Newfoundland from France for another event, then on to Detroit. Then it's a week of being a recluse while I catch up on all the work!![]()
When you get to the Detroit leg of your journey, there are several GRM folks around if you want to socialize outside of work.
I'm in Detroit the 26th, 27th and 28th... part of it will be in Dearborn, the other near Chrysler's Chelsea proving grounds. Not sure yet what the schedule will be like... but if I can get away that would be great!
Just let us know. We just rolled out the welcome mat for the Suddards and would be happy to do it again.
Did they get the Krohn racing ferrari up and going in time for qualifying?
Also, I am envious of you. I really am. I will make it there at some point in my life.
