Pssst! Just go ahead and do it! It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission!

OK, you asked for it...
It's not Grassroots though. We had Tilson Homes build it for us. I'll take you from beginning to (soon to be) end. We'll start with the house we were living in...
We started with this 1983 model single wide mobile home. Served my wife's family for about 20 years and us for a good 4 years. We did a lot of work to it, but with the new baby, it's time for a REAL house...
Next we started taking the porches, stone underpinning, and everything off in order to get the house moved. We thought we had sold it. THOUGHT...
After pulling all that stuff off there, we noticed that all the friggin supports were rusted to hell. Doesn't matter now... LOL
Next, I had to dig trenches for the water line and septic line. These had to be dug out enough to make room for the new house. Pay attention to how far out these things are dug and then compare to the same trench next to the new house. We hadn't seen rain in about 4-6 months by this time so the ground was like digging in concrete for the water line and it damn near was for the septic system as it was solid rock!! We just had a new septic put in a year ago, this was a huge factor in placement of the new house and everything.
Sorry for the cell phone pix...

No sir, we're moving in to the house in 2 weeks. I'm just catching ya'll up. LOL
And THIS is where WE are staying!!! 1 bedroom, 1 bath, 350 square feet. And by WE I mean my wife, myself, the 15 year old daughter, and the 1 year old. We're learning about TOGETHERNESS!!
Finally getting all the rock and everything off. I say finally, it really took about 3 days.
Yes, it's a really long house. Longest made at the time. 16' x 74'
Got the roofing redone since we pulled off the porches and it's all ready to move.
Looks like that house originally came with wheels so it can loosely be covered under "Motorsports" so, sure... why not.
About 2 weeks went by. Got the house staked out and had to remove 5 trees and get all the paperwork and permits done that couldn't be done with the trailer there. Came home one day to this...
They filled in 18-20" and dug another 12-14" into the ground for the foundation.
