Take care of yourselves. Take care of your people. Life is short.
That's all.
That sucks, sorry to hear that. It is always a shock when someone is suddenly gone. Your philosophy is good, especially this week. Be Thankful.

No clue how true that is here. I had to call 911, we found out an hour and a half later.

Couple of those guys knew him for 10 years or more. I doubt we're gonna be open tomorrow, but I expect a lot of call outs if we are
Same. Had a travel nurse I worked with 7 yrs ago at my staff job that got killed via car wreck 3 days ago.... still sad.
That's terrible, sorry for your loss. We had a coworker pass away a few years ago in his mid-40s. Great guy.
We all knew why, but it was never discussed.
I'm so sorry for you and your coworkers.
I don't think I discussed it here, but I had a coworker collapse at work earlier this year out of nowhere. A few days later, he passed in the hospital. He was only 39 years old, and it was a sobering shock for everyone. As far as we knew, he had no prior medical issues and was in great shape. I worked closely with him for the 9 years I have been with the company, and he was a great guy. There were people that are a lot closer to him, and watching them try to revive him on the spot (a lot of my coworkers are vets and some have medical backgrounds from their service) while we waited for the ambulance was heartbreaking to watch. It was a sobering reminder to live life to the fullest, because you never know when your time is up.
