An American passenger was booted off a US Airways flight and screened after reportedly joking that he had Ebola and telling the rest of the flyers they were “screwed.”

During a flight from Philadelphia to the Dominican Republic, the 54-year-old American – who remains unidentified – reportedly yelled, “I have Ebola, you are all screwed,” according to the Dominican news outlet Diario Libre.

In one of the videos it looks as though one of the hazmat-suited guys has a gap in his protective suit. Good thing this was a bogus event for that guy. Hopefully if he is ever confronted by the real thing he gets his suit on correctly.

Yep dude's suit isn't zipped all the way up.

The joke was good, the outcome not so much...

That's not funny.

It is (perhaps) criminal.

A little like, "I guess I should have told you I have AIDS before we did that, huh."

I find lots of humor in it. Mostly the part where jokester gets expensive life lesson. OTOH, between Texas hospital berk ups, ridiculous airline screenings and folks who don't know how zippers work, there's a little concern on my end how this plays out. On the big pic, lots of people dying - except for the rich white people who got shipped back to the USA and got cured. Kinda wondering if the incentive is for infected people is go find a way to get to the good ole USA if you want a shot at living through it.

That dude is an idiot. I just flew back from Dallas last night and it was getting a little tense at times. There were even people on my flight with masks on. Of course then there were the furries on the trip up, but that's another story.

I guess he must have gotten tired of making hijacking jokes when he boarded planes.

I find it hard to believe they'd let anyone on a plane in a fursuit. Fursuit + "metal under the arm" trick to defeat scanning machines = unsportingly easy terrorism

So, first of all I apologize for the horrible pictures. I was trying to be stealth because the last thing I wanted was a bunch of crazy furries mad at me on a 3 hour flight. Anyway this was a REALLY weird morning...some of them were walking each other on leashes etc. There were a lot of them, but some had already boarded. Now I don't have anything against furries or anything, so no judging here, but it was such a strange site I had to get pics.

The suits aren't as big as I'd expected, but super baggy clothes do create the security problem I mentioned.

when it comes to furries encountering terrorist I wouldn't be surprised if the adage "they're more scared of you then you are of them" applies. No Jihadist ever died hoping to encounter 37 popples

what are the masks supposed to do other than provide a false sense of security?

In reply to novaderrik:

That's mostly what it does. They give us some flimsy PPE and then if something happens they say they aren't responsible. Two days after 9/11 I brought a bus full of firemen to the world trade center. As We left someone handed us a box of little dust masks incase the air was still dirty when we got there.

I think it's much harder to spread things than people believe. I spend my days surrounded by the great unwashed, had sick customers cough sneeze and puke on me and I hardly ever even catch a cold every year. Aside from a squirt of Purell now and then I don't do anything special. I probably haven't even eaten a vegetable besides ketchup since I was six.

Bahaha, I can't even explain this. I just keep doubling over laughing. You have to google it. I'm sorry. You can't unlearn this. Once you know - you know.
