I have an appointment with an oncologist next week. I am not looking forward to radiation if that is the treatment.

I have heard nothing but good about the DaVinci Robotic operating system for prostate surgery. But, as pointed out, make sure the operator is experienced.
John Brown, hope all goes well with the Oncologist. I've had a discussion with one already. Ask lots of questions, do your homework, and he/she should not be offended if you ask for a second opinion, and who would THEY see if the situation were reversed. Radiation treatment has become much, much more "focusable" than it used to be even as short as 5 years ago.
