That's almost as offensive sounding to me as "Honey Ham."
Seriously? DON'T MIX DESSERT WITH MY MEAT, UNLESS IT'S A BACON SUNDAE.
Are you saying the idea of Chocolate covered olive loaf in a creamy pepperoni and vanilla ice cream is gross?
Waffle with maple syrup with a fried egg on top. Best ever.
I like stuff with my stuff.

"Iced Tea" in Canada is "Sweet Tea" in the states.
For a glorious sugar explosion of flavour, try mixing your iced tea with 7up instead of water. Mmmmmmmmm!!!!!

I think I just got a little sick in my mouth...
Maple Syrup.... Mmmmm....
It is good on anything at any time. Make Bacon Candy with Maple Sugar. That would be great for dessert. Especially on ice cream.
Maple Milk is very tasty. Had that at a maple farm during the NH Maple open house weekend a few years ago.
One thing I have not tried yet, but I BADLY want to is the combo of Fried Chicken, Waffles and Maple syrup. SWMBO looks at me with disgust when I suggested it. One of the Wxboys jumped on my bandwagon and wants it too, much to her chagrin.
Maple syrup is good.

My brother used to do his eggs over easy, break them open in his grits, crumble up bacon and dump that in there then pour ketchup on all that, stir it and then gobble the resulting lumpy orange disaster. Used to make me a little ill.
True... but for some reason when all of that is wrapped in a tortilla and smothered in melted cheese, it's all ok.
(breakfast burrito)
I guess that's because then you can't see it.
After 12 pages, do we all agree that Canadian cuisine is bad. If there is REALLY even such a thing.

I am pretty sure that is not what the OP wanted the conclusion to be.
Nothing wrong with Ketchup on eggs or Poutine flavoured chips or expecting people on the same continent to ship E36 M3 to us!
Talk to the corporate people that tell us otherwise.
Anyone on the forum from the Maritimes? Does McDonald's still sell McLobsters? Bet they don't have that in Texas, or wherever.

I see you used an "U" in "flavor".

They now sell Mc Lobster in Ontario. At least in my neck of the woods...
Also hedgehog flavor chips must taste like this...

Salsa is the American version.
I would suggest that it's from another country. I put hot salsa on my fried potatoes. It works.

Then you just do what we do in Canada. If the rule is wrong, you break it. That's how rules and laws get changed up here.
Do I have to tell you everything?

Note that I said "maple syrup". Your American corn syrup stuff does not cut it. Nor does that hopped-up crap sold at Cracker Barrel.
The only Maple Syrup I have used in the last 40 years is the kind my wife's uncle makes every fall from his own trees.

No, put the bacon ON the corn muffin, or inside it rather. With just a dab of maple syrup. It is delectable.
How have we gone this far without discussing Kozlik's mustard?? That stuff is seriously, ridiculously good. Even if it is, you know... Canadian.

Don't forget, we gave you this too:
Poutine is the exact opposite of Chinese food. You may not feel that full, but you won't want to eat again for about a week. It's the perfect winter fuel. It makes total sense in context.
I took a random poll of native Coloradoans this evening (oddly enough, they were all related to my wife) and they all agreed that maple syrup is awesome on eggs. So there.
And yes, they do still sell McLobster in the Maritimes. Nova Scotia, not Newfoundland if memory serves.
We call it a Quarter-Pounder up here as well.
Our Taco Bell serves french fries. Even I don't understand that one.
American Cheese? WTF? You folks need to learn what aged cheddar is supposed to taste like.
That waxy, orange, flavourless brick I bought that says "aged cheddar" would barely pass for mild cheddar up here.
I did buy some of this:
to freak out my co-workers.

Oh, and maple syrup goes on waffles. I don't like pancakes.
Have you ever had bacon pancakes? Its like turning pancakes to 11.

I had one in Sturgeon Falls Ontario a couple weeks ago, but they don't sell them in Scuzzbury...
It was not bad, but nothing to write home about.
