City of West Point GA has destruction. I am in Zebulon, GA so far we have several roads flooded.
Getting called in to man our volunteer fire station.
The county south of us.are calling for our EMS due to so many roads being closed in that county.
Had to referee an Over 50 men's soccer game this morning at 9. north of Atlanta. Game was canceled at 9:07 due to lightning in a large storm coming across. Not unexpected but we tried. Looks like a big storm but so far just rain and lightning - not much wind here yet.
We're good on the coast. Fortunately we just have to worry about hurricanes & the occasional waterspout here. North Mississippi is definitely the fast-lane of tornado alley though.
I live northwest of Atlanta. I'm sitting in LaGuardia airport right now and my wife is sitting in New Orleans airport. We're meeting in the Atlanta airport. Hopefully we'll have something to go home to! I've talked to my kids, who live 10 miles away and they said everything was fine. I presume I'm good.
