So far I've used Carguy123's Febreeze-in-the-fresh-air-intake plan (GF had febreeze laying around) and it seems to work, but it hasn't been very long.
I'll try to update again in a couple weeks!

The neon I'm parting has the same odor issue. Even though its totally stripped down to the metal shell now my garage still smells like a teenager.

So it smells like teen spirit?

Be careful spraying vinegar on upholstery, it does not play well with all dyes.

Oh, good point. In cars I typically just leave an open cup of it in the cupholder for about a week.
Leave a door closed not-quite-perfectly in a rainstorm, it'll smell moldy as all hell for about 6 months.
I just put a Vinegar Molotov Cocktail in a car that's been sitting a while. I took a used round paper air filter sat it in an iron pan (from garbage) poured 3 cups of vinegar in the center of the filter to get it started (swamp filtering) and put it in rear floorboard. Let it sit a cpl days with window cracked and no more dead mouse odor....
Next step is to do the same thing with the heat running and peroxide steam it.
The vinegar has made it 1000 times better though and I may not peroxide it.
