The wettest june in recent history and the storms just keep on coming. Under a tornado watch till 10 and I can hear thunder in the distance and smell the rain on the wind.
I am getting really tired of this E36 M3
All next week is forcasted for thunderstorms... I blame this weather on my boat. If I had not bought it, we would be having a drought
We've been getting hit every afternoon for three or four days. Today was the worst though by far...

Yep. And I have a 6 hr mtn bike race on Sunday. That'll be fun... Not sure if that's better or worse than attending my region's two-day combined time autox event. Blah...
Can you send some out West, please? We could use some...
I have to get my boat out of NY by July 1.. or I get hit with a month's worth of storage fees. I told them I would be up monday and they swallowed that.. but I am not looking forwards to an 8 hour pull in thunderstorms

Got home to a flooded basement today, 2nd time in 3 years!!
Cutting my lawn is like processing a hay field
Heat index was around 115 today, I'd love to have the rain back from earlier this month and last month.......just not the tornadoes that came with it.
I think we are still in drought this year after the lack of rain the two preceeding years.
A cool, wet summer would suit me fantastic.
I just got back from jogging/walking and was worthless, it's 8:30 and I think the heat index is still 103ish.
it only rains here when it gets so damn hot that the ground would catch on fire if it wasn't quenched, which, lately, has been every day.
been hovering around 100 every single day for a couple weeks
Rain? You mean water falls from the sky? Amazing!
And it always clears up and gets all nice out about when I'd be pushing away from the dock to go rowing, had I loaded up and left an hour before when I was dark and storming out.
Ahh, predictable DC weather, I love thee.
I'm glad I no longer have a job that determines my mood for the day based on the weather. I am not a duck and don't like to be soaking wet. I only hope, if it does rain, that it quits long enough for the creek to float all the water away from here.
In reply to Datsun310Guy:
Tell me about it . . . I'm three weeks behind on mowing the lawn. It's pretty tall out there . . . My lil mower is gonna hate me this weekend.

My favorite.
Put it at highest setting, then stop every 10-15ft and tilt mower up so wet grass gets flung, rinse and repeat.
40 minute job turns into 3 hour job.
We should be so lucky. Send some to Texas too.
1-2" Tuesday, 2" yesterday, 4" tonight... supposed to keep on until 2PM tomorrow. Phone is sending emergency flood warnings every 2hrs. sirens. thunder, lightning.
I hope I don't run out of booze before the river recedes.

I'm shocked at your lack of preparedness.

Who knew 3 5ths and a sixtel wasn't going to cover it? I have plenty of ammo and my neighbor looks like a scotch man who isn't armed. I like the guy but... he may have to be harvested.
Though about cleaning my gutters last weekend, awoke to the sound of overflowing water splatting on the driveway this morning. Berkley.
We usually get 2.5" of rain in June. We've topped 7" for the month, so far.
The forecast for the next 7 days? Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain and Rain.
Personally I don't mind. Better that than drought.
My son is getting tired of mowing the grass every 4-5 days though.
Boaters are trapped on the NYS Barge Canal because of too much water.
some minor flooding expected today.

First rallycross canceled by rain last month, 2nd one I listened to the weather guessers and radar map & missed it. Tomorrow's rallycross is 40% chance of thunderstorms last I checked.
F that, we need rain down here still.
