or at least look like you are always going fast...
someone find me a Rolls Royce body... stat...
I dont get it.
It would be fast and classy if it would cut a 12.00 second pass while looking and sounding dead stock puttering about, some reasonably sized drag radials aside. Rather than what essentially amounts to a (very professionally) hacked up funny car chassis with a RR skin on it.
I remember back in the 80's one of the musclecar mags had a story of a guy who took a 4-door Caddy, left all the interior and swanky goodness so he could haul his family around, a stuffed a built engine - complete with blower sticking through the hood - in the bay.
At the time it seemed so odd seeing something so non-performance-oriented being built up like that.
this just popped up on BAT this morning.

It's the juxtaposition of old world luxury and over the top brutality. Maybe not for everyone, but I like it. I'd also like your idea too though.

Our Lemons Rolls debuts next weekend. I've slacked with the build thread, but it is all caged and whatnot, but we kept most of the interior, had left it otherwise as stock as possible, brown paint and all.

Quoted because its awesome. I've wanted a Bentley Turbo R since the first time I saw one in Car and Driver in the 80's, before I was old enough to drive.
In reply to yamaha:
Well, what the hell else are you supposed to do with an over priced british luxury car that isn't worth fixing anymore?

it's, like, all about the juxtaposition of refined luxury crossed with sheer brutality... it, like, makes a bold statement about the duality of life..
and stuff..

I would rather they come back as something fun.
were I ever to come across a proper builder rolls then I fully support the pro street version. If you are going to butcher it then ya gotta go all the way :)
I would not mind an old Roller.. but I would have to do mine as a Diesel Daily Driver just to mess with people.

how 'bout cutting it up and making a DD pick-up out of it, a la Travis McGee (the book series for those that don't know)
