There should be a sticker on the inside of the frunk lid that lists all of the option codes for the car.

It's hard to say for sure from this angle but those look like they could be Sport Seats, and with the contrasting piping, that could be a Special Wishes car.

A quality air ride setup wouldn't decrease value that much.
In reply to Woody :
Are Special Wishes cars generally more valuable, or is it all dependent on the taste(tastelessness?) of the original owner?
Woody said:If'n that speedometer is original to the car, then it is a late '82.
VIN sticker says 09/82.
Twenty-five year old says he's not sure if he wants a 911. Did I read that correctly?
Nice find. That thing is beautiful.

Not really, but sometimes they're just interesting.

That's probably an '83 then...even better!

He's obviously more financially logical than us lol. 25 year old me would've taken the car and went broke trying to bring it back to life. Then 35 year old me would actually bring it back to life while still broke from 25 year old me hopes and wishes.
I went through the glove box and found a Registration and Insurance card for North Carolina. Sent an email asking how to get a Title, also have two other options.
Custodian will probably sell the car As-Is. Yes, you get more if it runs and is shiny, but for ~$20k it can be fixed in your garage.
More info to come, will only sell with clear paperwork; think $20k is too much?

Man, 10 years ago $20k would buy the most pristine example of a 911 SC in the land. Today, not so much. However, a good driver seems to be selling in the mid $20k's to low $30k's.
$20k for a non runner may be a little rich. Have you turned the motor over by hand to confirm it isn't seized? Even if you could get it to run for a little bit and then confirm the tranny is good...
I think $20k is too high for a non-running SC Targa with read interior. Even with black interior it would be a stretch. You might get that for a non running G50 coupé though. But if the right guy comes along, you never know.
