Like a lot of us, I love the hotlinking thread. I hotlink the crap out of it. But lately, I think Google is trying to stymie my hotlinking abilities.

I'm using an old Samsung S4. Still works great, so whatever.  I used to click a Google images pic and then open it in another tab to get the correct URL. I'd hold my finger on the image and a list of options pooped up. Select "Open in Another Tab" and copy the URL.

Now once I get to the part where I hold my finger on the image to open it in another tab, I get an option box to pop up, but there is now only one option, "Share Image." And the things you are allowed to share it with are FaceBalls,  Twitter, etc... Not what I want.

I've been able to repeat my original prosses on other sites, and it works just fine. It just doesn't work on the Googles. Did I change a setting? Did an update change something without my knowledge? Does Google Images have a vendetta against our beloved Hotlink thread?

Google Images wants to make it hard for you to hotlink stuff, when they don't, people who think their photos will someday hang in the Louvre get very upset and sue Google.

The options, assuming that heavy browser mods are out, are to use a different image search engine or to view the page containing the image and hotlink from there.

This happened to me too this week. Such disappoint.

Yahoo images still loves the Hotlink Thread.

I'm not glad anyone else is dealing with this disappointment, but I'm glad I'm not alone. I'm a semi-ludite, so my first thoughts when something like this happens is, "Aw, crap. What did you do, dumbass?"
