Followed that build over on Volksrods when it happened. There's even more to it than that quick set of photos shows. Its an amazing build.
FWIW, his dad built it not his grandfather.

My father and I built my 74 superbeetle together.. but not to that extent (or scale). I am jealous.
That was a fun two years though, lots of good memories of working on that car with him. I may have to do another someday
