So, I have a few year old Charbroil "commercial" grill that needs new burners.
but, is there an upgrade over the cheap stainless burners that are available everywhere? they only seem to last a season. (Granted, we grill often).
Don't suggest charcoal, I don't have time to wait usually (4 kids in lots of activities leaves for a short dinner time)

Are they stainless? I've had good luck just cleaning them up with a brass wire brush.
They are, but with heat, moisture and uses they still seem to rust apart after a year or so.
Kind of interested in knowing if cast iron exists

I have a Char-broil "Commercial" infrared grille. I just buy new stainless burners and flame shields directly from Char-broil. Costs about $100 every 3 years to refurbish it.
Is your grill protected from the weather by a cover or indoor storage? Protected storage might help the guts last longer. We have a cheap $99 grill that I got 19 years ago and I have replaced the burners 2 times over that time using basic parts from Lowe/Depot/Amazon. It lives in our garage and gets pulled out for a few hours each month. I probably cook on it 6 times per month (we plan to cook for leftovers).
